SURGERY
Small Animal:
-
Experienced veterinarians
-
Modern and spacious facility and
equipment
-
Pre-anesthetic lab work to determine
readiness of pet for surgery
-
Modern pain management
-
Gas anesthesia
-
Sevofluorane for rapid
induction:
Gas-induction allows us to anesthetize your pet without injectable
drugs. This is especially important in our older patients or those
with compromising disease. As soon as the surgical procedure is completed, your pet will be breathing oxygen only for a few minutes
and then will wake up quite quickly, able to walk back to his/her
kennel. There will be none of the grogginess that follows injected
anesthetics.
-
Isofluorane for maintenance
during longer procedures Electronic patient monitoring
-
Less tissue trauma, less
bleeding, and less swelling result inless pain for your pet.
-
Declaws: cats will bat at
toys and walk very nearly normally immediately after awakening from
surgery
-
Neuters: much less
licking or chewing because of markedly decreased pain and swelling
-
Correction of snoring and
difficult breathing by widening nostril openings and/or shortening soft
palate
-
Correction of eyelid
deformities (entropion – eyelids turning inward, extropion- eyelids too
sagging, tumors of the eyelids, cherry eyes)
-
Tumor removals
-
Critical assessment during
recovery in kennels within our main treatment area
-
Routine procedures: Spays and
neuters, declaws, laceration repairs, tumor removals, etc.
