Dr. Margaret Koosmann

DR. MARGARET KOOSMANN

Owner

Dr. Margaret was born and raised in Mellen, WI, on her fifth-generation family farm. Margaret graduated from Northland College in 2010 and the University of Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. Margaret joined the clinic immediately upon graduation in 2015. Dr. Margaret is the owner of Ashland Area Veterinary Clinic and thoroughly enjoys working with small and large animals, as well as their caregivers. Dr. Margaret is grateful to be back working in her hometown area and being able to provide back to the community that has supported her in a variety of ways. Margaret enjoys being an active member of her family farm, cooking, and playing slow-pitch softball.

Dr. Faye Koosmann

DR. FAYE KOOSMANN

Dr. Faye was born and raised in Mellen, WI. Faye graduated from Northland College in 2015 and Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2020. She is an active member of their generational farm and meat market. Faye has an interest in both large and small animal medicine and works as a mixed animal practitioner. She thoroughly enjoys her job and especially likes working with farmers and owners in allowing them to be the leaders in the care of their animals. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her fiancé Jake and their two dogs, Luigi and Duncan. You can also guarantee she will be on her family farm working alongside her family members when she isn’t at the clinic. Her hobbies include catching up with family and friends, hiking and visiting waterfalls in the summer, and snowshoeing in the winter. Dr. Faye thoroughly loves working with her sister Margaret and her amazing colleagues.

Dr. Dan Bloomquist

DR. DAN BLOOMQUIST

Dr. Dan Bloomquist is an Ashland native and has been with Ashland Area Veterinary Clinic since his graduation from the University of Minnesota School of Veterinary Medicine in 1990. He spends his days on the road traveling between farms working with dairy farms doing production medicine, beef, swine, sheep, and goat operations, and, of course, lots of equines of all makes and models! Dr. Dan enjoys cross-country skiing in the winter, cooking, trout fishing, and golf in the summer. He is the caretaker of an elderly poodle named Polar and two elderly Katahdin sheep named Ida and Maisie.

Dr. Chelsea Esberner

DR. CHELSEA ESBERNER

Dr. Chelsea is part of our small animal veterinary team. She grew up in Ashland and received her bachelor’s degree in science at Northland College. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Following graduation, she began her veterinary career working in Minocqua, WI and joined the Ashland Area Veterinary Clinic team in 2017. She has a professional interest in soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and caring for exotic pets. She loves being able to serve the community she grew up in and work with our amazing team at Ashland Area Veterinary Clinic. Chelsea lives in Ashland with her husband, Nick, three dogs, and Russian tortoise. In her free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family.

DR. BIANCA WOLLER

Dr. Bianca grew up in Southern Wisconsin. She is new to the area, but now pronounces Chequamegon with confidence! She received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science at University of Wisconsin - River Falls before graduating from Midwestern University - College of Veterinary Medicine in 2022. She loves doing surgery and giving pets snacks during their appointments. Growing up, Dr. Bianca showed sheep and horses in 4-H. She still spins yarn from the sheep's wool and would love to get back into riding horses. Dr. Bianca also spends some of her free time-serving in the US Army Reserve.
